Welcome to the Flatwoods Fire Department where we strive to take the most professional approach to the public safety needs of the community we serve. We have a proud history of serving our community as innovative leaders in public safety. We are fortunate to have some of the most talented and dedicated firefighters working with us each day.
The men and women of the Flatwoods Fire Department are here to provide the highest level of service possible. Our command staff, frontline firefighters, and fire prevention / public education personnel, are committed through mission and integrity.

As an ISO class (5) five fire department, we are proud to be serving our community since 1953. Our staff serve in the areas of structural firefighting, urban search and rescue, fire investigations, as well as command and control strategic planning. As the Flatwoods Fire Department prepares for the challenges of the future, we will continually seek ways to evaluate how we provide our service in an effort to be more efficient, adaptable, and responsive to the public safety needs of our residents and the visitors to the community we serve.
